An upgrade item is a product that can be slotted into weapons, armor, and trinkets to increase their stats. It is obtained by completing certain high-tier keystone dungeons.

Components
In the field of computer technology the term "upgrade" refers to a replacement of software or hardware with a new version that offers new functions or features. Upgrades are typically made to make a system more efficient, more reliable or capable of handling greater amounts of data. Hardware upgrades include hard disk drives as well as motherboards. Upgrades to computers should always be compatible with specifications of the computer being upgraded.
Upgrade items in Guild Wars 2 are items that can be inserted into armors, weapons, and trinkets. They provide an attribute bonus when the equipment is in use. To accept a component, it must have an upgrade slot open and be above or equal to the specified level.
Components can be bought from vendors in Night City or obtained by disassembling items that don't function. They can also be found randomly around the globe. In contrast to weapons and equipment components, they can be purchased from vendors even if they are not level-appropriate or high-leveled.
Various types of components exist that have universal upgrades (such as gemstones) which can be put in any equipment and offering lesser bonuses than those which are categorized. Jewels are only available in trinkets. They also provide a more bonus points than any other upgrade.
Inscriptions are a special upgrade item which can only be placed inside the trinket. They can be used to increase the multiplier of experiences. These are extremely beneficial for min/maxing a character because they are relatively cheap to obtain, but they don't stack with other experience modifiers.
Infusions are another type of upgrade item that can be added to non-ascended armor and legendary armor, as well as other non-legendary back items. You can retrieve them using the tool for extraction of infusions or salvaging with the Ascended Rescue Tool. An important thing to note is that upgrading an item with infusions will cause the item to have a distinct name. For instance, adding the Rune of Minor Vigor to a Tyrian Armor will cause it to display the name "Radiant Tyrian Armor." In the same way, an written inscription on a weapon will be displayed in its hover display as an Inscribed Weapon.
Glyphs
Glyphs are the items that increase a specific substat of a piece of gear. They are available in many places but the most common is the completion of Nightmare Dungeons or Helltides. You can also find them by visiting the Faction Crypts. Glyphs in the crypts only apply to certain classes, so be sure to claim only those that are applicable to your character. Once you have a bunch of Glyphs you can head to the Glyph Altar located in the middle of Teleria to spend the Glyphs. This altar will increase the value of your item that is enchanted by a specific amount, dependent on the Glyph you choose to use.
Glyphs are an excellent option to improve your gear, however they can be a challenge to obtain and use. Certain glyphs can boost healing, damage or resistance, whereas others will increase damage, healing or resistance. Glyphs are a great option to upgrade equipment however, they are also difficult to access and use. Regularly updating your glyphs will ensure that you get the most from them. Glyphs upgraded will appear as they are in your inventory.
Certain dropped items come with a default glyph which will automatically upgrade when you upgrade the item. This only is applicable to the original enchantment, not the glyph you manually crafted on the item. Glyphs that automatically upgraded will always have a higher rank than the glyph that you manually crafted on the item.
Glyphs play a vital role of the crafting system. You can use them to convert a prefix on gloves, belts or boots into an experimental affix. Glyphs aren't easy to obtain due to the RNG element of their making. To guide players, we have created a Glyph of Insight crafting spreadsheet to assist.

A few tips for obtaining Glyphs of Vision faster include choosing shorter dungeons that are simpler to complete, like Witchwater. This dungeon is linear, making it simpler to navigate and defeat enemies. It's also a good idea to consume potions of health in between dungeon runs to accelerate the process.
Rerolling
Rerolling involves replacing an upgrade item with an identical item. It alters its stats, but it does not alter the level of the item or a unit's attachment slot. The price of the item will be determined by its rarity and level. This can be done with rings, armors, weapons and other items.
Upgrade items are a way to increase the stats for units in Guild Wars 2 These items come in a wide variety and can enhance a variety of attributes. Upgrades can increase the health, power of spells and physical strength of armors, weapons and rings. The upgrades also add additional abilities to the unit. The player can use the item by placing it on the unit's portrait.
Recycling items will fill up a progress bar, increasing the value of upgrades for an item. Recycling up to six items at a time is possible, and the points you earn for recycling will increase depending on the rarity and value of the item. The upgrade that results will be random, and cannot be guaranteed.
Rerolling or not depends on the player's preference. Some players reroll to ensure they have a stable set of characters to carry them throughout the game. Others may choose to not reroll because they prefer to play with their favourite character no matter how powerful it is.
Rerolling is costly and requires lots of work and time, so it is important to weigh the advantages and disadvantages. If you're unsure about the best rerolling strategy, talk with other players and ask suggestions.
The best way to improve your chances of winning an excellent reroll is to play frequently and earn a good amount of tokens. You'll have enough tokens to replace your upgrade items in the event of a need. You can also increase your reroll chances by playing the game on its highest difficulty level. If you're struggling to find an upgrade item that is worth your time, try to play the game on the hard or even the most difficult difficulty settings.
Sets
When an upgrade is placed on a set or an exclusive item, a bonus will be offered to the set. These bonuses differ based on the type of upgrade. When an upgrade is placed on an armored set or ring, it will grant a bonus to def, whereas the upgrade for a weapon will increase the damage of the aoe.
While the extra stats provided by an upgrade can aid an build, their effects aren't always the most beneficial. For instance, a high breakpoint item for dps might not benefit in the same way from an upgrade when there's already a nearly perfect, or even perfect, non-upgraded version that is the same item (whistan's shield for FB sorcs comes to mind). Additionally an item that offers value via its unique affixes may be extremely useful in its original state (goldwrap is a fantastic choice for casting dps).
To upgrade a gear set piece or weapon, players must visit NPC [Armorto upgrade a weapon or set piece, players must visit NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine. The player will require one of three Power Dices, dice 4 6 or 12, which can be dropped by monsters over 21 or Giants as well as the required amount of Erons and minerals. The player can reroll an item by pressing the green button with circles that are circling when in the items list.
This will replace the current item with a new item that has different extra stats. The base item will also change. This is an option for those who wish to maximize the performance of their equipment. They can increase the maximum defense roll and the affixes of the base item or even swap the base item with another item in the same upgrade category.
